TFK returns from Nova Scotia after providing wildfire relief

A team of seven Taskforce Kiwi volunteers have returned from a two week deployment to Nova Scotia, Canada; where they provided direct support to our partner Team Rubicon Canada following Nova Scotia's devastating wildfires in May 2023.

Working alongside TR Canada, the team was deployed for two weeks to the town of Upper Tantallon, and alongside our Canadian colleagues provided support to 151 families directly impacted by the fires. This was an opportunity to both gain experience in the relatively unfamiliar environment of a wildfire, while also reciprocating the invaluable support provided by TR Canada during our operations in Hawke's Bay following Cyclone Gabrielle.

With a return journey of over 36,000km, this deployment was enabled by the support of our partners at Airlink and Cathay Pacific
